Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa has finally filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage. Court documents say's the couple have  irreconcilable differences. Other online reports say the couple, who has been together since Kobe Bryant was 21 and his soon to be ex wife was 18. The couple had no pre-nuptial agreement, so in all essence, half of the money Kobe Bryant made over years will go to his wife Vanessa.
Kobe and Vanessa have been married since 2001 and have two daughters 8, and 5 years old. Court Documents indicates that  Vanessa Bryant asked for joint custody of the children.
“The Bryants are said to have resolved most issues incident to their divorce beforehand with the assistance of counsel.
In 2003, Kobe Bryant was accused of sexual assault but he insisted it was consensual sex.
Vanessa Bryant stood by her husband during this time, and released a statement that read, “”I know that my husband has made a mistake — the mistake of adultery. He and I will have to deal with that within our marriage, and we will do so. He is not a criminal.”
The charges where later dropped as the accuser did not want to go ahead with a trial. The NBA star bought his wife a $4 million ring during the scandal. But  obviously the marriage still is  coming to a end .
